Many years ago I spent several days each week on the road, teaching the dynamics of sales and marketing. Each week I ran into similar concepts or beliefs. Each week there was one person in the group who would defend his or her inability to try, and/or to accomplish, what I was discussing.

These similar concepts or beliefs were always based on, "Some one already tried that and it didn't work." I would usually ask him or her a similar question, "Did you personally try this idea or approach?" And the person would usually counter with, "There was no reason to waste my time."

Have you ever heard a conversation similar to the one I mentioned above? Have you placed limitations upon yourself, and/or your career, by accepting another person's opinion, belief, excuse, expectation or perception? Are you like that other person? Do you have the same personality? Do you walk and talk in the same manner as the other person? Do you and the other person dress identically the same each day? Were you raised by the same parents, attend the same schools, and church? Did you have the same friends and relatives? If not, would you have the same lifetime experiences?

While traveling around the Pacific Rim, I had the pleasure of attending a couple of Medicine Men and Women's gatherings. These gatherings were always full of excitement, renewing old friendships and making new ones. And as always, a couple of days into the sharing experiences, there would always be one person who would take a negative stance. This person would dispute one thing or another as being false, or untrue. As the discussion continued, this person's objection would usually be based on his or her own experiences, expectations, or perceptions. If we stopped here for a moment and looked at this objection, could the underlying apprehension of his or her objection be: "I cannot do that, so how can you?"

Does every human presently see spirits? Is every human suppose too? Will every human in this lifetime awaken to his or her true abilities? For the ones who do awake to his or her abilities, will his or her experience be the same? Will he or she be able to see the same things, or hear the same words?

If one person only sees animal spirits, should that be the limitation for everyone? If one person only sees spirit figures with no faces, should that be the set limitation? If one person can see the face of a single spirit, should that be the set limitation? Or should the limitation be set by each individual's personal growth process?

Is it right for one person to tell another what the correct limitation is? Is it right for one person to tell another person, that seeing the face of a spirit is impossible? Is it right for one person to tell another, "My human teacher said that was wrong . . ." thereby passing on his or her limitations, expectations or perceptions, as the rule other humans should follow? Do they actually have that right? Do you have the right to accept or reject another person's limitations, expectations or perceptions? Do you have the right to place your limitations, expectations or perceptions upon another human?

What is true for one person is not true for another. This is due to each individual's experiences in this lifetime, along with his or her conscious and/or subconscious memories from other lifetimes, are not the same.

Maybe, it is time for you to let yourself, and every human on Earth, be who he or she is by accepting him or her for what he or she is today. No expectations. No social or individual perceptions. Just let go and accept. This does not mean you will like all people. It means you will accept yourself and all humans for who and what they are along his or her journey. It can be that easy.

    Food for thought.
