Just My Words and My Opinion
Before I convey my words and my opinion, I would like to share a little about who I am.

My name is Brent Lee. I have a Ph. D. in Philosophy - Magna Cum Laude, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology - Summa Cum Laude, and a B.A. in Theology - Magna Cum Laude. And I am a retired U.S. Navy Counselor, Chief Petty Officer. Over the last twenty five plus years, I had the pleasure of studying the various philosophies and theologies of the Pacific Rim, as well as the culture and philosophies of Native Americans. During my time in the Navy, I spent sixteen of my twenty years as a counselor in the following areas; Career Counselor, Financial Budget Counselor, Human Resource Counselor, Family Counselor, and while serving as a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Counselor , I spent one tour as the Program Director and Division Officer of the Alcohol Rehabilitation Department (ARD) at the US Naval Hospital, Subic Bay, Philippines and a second tour as the Division Officer and Director of the Navy's Drug and Alcohol Counseling School (NDAC) in Miramar, CA.

Throughout these years I was afforded the opportunity to study and understand the philosophies and beliefs from many different cultures and backgrounds. And I had the opportunity to see these various cultural differences incorporated into treatment plans.

The Navy also afforded me the opportunity to visit and live in many different countries, and it was during these travels I began to study such philosophies as Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Confucianism, and the splintered groups of Catholicism, Gnosticism, and Christianity. A tour in Australia allowed me the experience and understanding of the Aboriginal cultures. Service on other Pacific Islands provided an opportunity to become familiar with Shamanic or “Medicine Man” approaches to Spirituality. I have also had the opportunity to become extremely familiar with and experience the spiritual beliefs and practices of Native Americans.

In 1993 I retired from the U.S. Navy and am enjoying retirement with my wife, Fe. Since my retirement I've worked with Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Counselors as a Consultant in Alternative Ways: Personal - Professional - Spiritual, and shared my thought and experiences through my writing as an Author of several books.

    Consultant in Alternative Ways:

It is a World Wide Approach, focused on a common thread of thought that flows through all Philosophies and Theologies. The concepts used acknowledge and respect all beliefs and philosophies as road signs used to navigate through an inner journey of understanding. This neutral approach enhances the individual learning process of who you are, what you are, how you view life, and how you view yourself within your present lifestyle. And provides a healthy course of action to deal with your social reality as you accept yourself for who you truly are today.

    Author:

Up til my last book, my web site supported what I was writing about. My latest book "Living For Tomorrow: How to Survive Any Catastrophe" has taped into a part of my past that I have never talked much about - a past I now need to share. I am a graduate of the U.S. Navy’s S.E.R.E. (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) School, plus attended several military and civilian survival schools in California, Guam, and the Philippines. I also served one tour as a Combat Search and Rescue Aircrewman in Vietnam and during another tour in the Pacific, I was a member of the Search and Rescue Response Team in Guam. And I am a survivor of numerous disasters that include super typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, floods, forest fires, and blizzards: People use to joke around with me, cause within six months of reporting to a new duty station, mother nature would unleash her worst. Since my retirement from the U.S. Navy in 1993, I have kept my survival skills honed through exploring the wondrous Rocky Mountains around my home in Wyoming.

    My Opinion:

It is time for each of us to stretch our individual and collective thought processes—to take the next step toward understanding the larger picture—by seeking beyond our present boundaries, by seeking the meaning behind our presently accepted concepts, ideologies and realities. It is time for us to move forward by utilizing our present philosophies, knowledge, and religious beliefs as the foundation of our search for understanding and our true spiritual nature.

    My Thoughts:

As our Earth moves through the next two thousand years, coming the closest to the center of our great Universe, our planet Earth's frequency will change, causing many of us to stir from our sleep. As you and I continue this waking process, we will periodically stop and look about our present day lives, and wonder what has changed. When you look beyond your exterior life style, when you become familiar with the articles, thoughts, or views shared throughout this web site, you will sense there is more to life than what you presently see. You may also ask yourself these questions, Who Am I? What am I? and Why am I here?. Very complex question for any of us to ask.

Through this web site, I would like to share with you the teachings of my spirit guides and of my Higherself. I would like to focus on the three questions mentioned in the previous paragraph and utilize this common thread which flows through all philosophies and theologies of our great world, as my foundation when I am sharing, when I am walking, and/or when I am learning, with you.

With this, I thank you for visiting. May the one God we all speak of, bless the Human Race.
