"Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is."
A passage in Bhagavad-Gita (The Song of the Blessed)

You are seeking and hoping to gain an idea of who you are. You seek outwardly in order to gain something that seems permanent. But the search process never gives you what you seek. In fact it creates the opposite. The very moment you identify with anything, you create an inner fear--a fear of losing that which has become a part of your presently accepted identity. And since all things change, you are hurt when this new identity is threatened, or goes away.

What you seek can only be found within. Through the various techniques discussed here, I will walk with you along your journey of discovery, of remembering, who you are, what you are, and why you are here.

Energy Work is called many things. Massage therapists call it a rubdown. Osteopathic physicians call it manipulation. Chiropractors refer to it as an adjustment. Faith healers call it simply the laying on of hands. But in all its many guises, working with the body's energy is a tremendously potent restorative hands-on process to facilitate each individuals physical needs.

Arthritis, low back pain, tendinitis, sleep disorders, asthma, tennis elbow, constipation, headache, edema, stroke, indigestion, stress, irritable bowel syndrome, sciatica, emotional problems, sprains, poor posture, haunting dreams . . .

What do all of these disorders have in common? At some point, they and hundreds of other health problems have responded to the Energy Work done through this hands-on approach. And you can learn how I do this, so in the future, you will recognize the signs and take the necessary steps to resolve your ailment by pressing, rubbing, stroking, and flexing for pain relief, increased energy, and maximium vitality. And you will know yourself well enough to recognize when you need to contact your physician, that way preventing major medical problems.

Therapeutic Energy Work is a scientifically-based practice founded on the premise that the physical body, mind, and spirit form a complex, dynamic energy field. The body’s energy field is governed by pattern and order. In health, the field is balanced, however in sickness, or emotional stress, the energy is characterized by imbalance and disorder.

Therapeutic Energy Work is a hands on process of energy exchange to facilitate the course of action. It is a contemporary interpretation of several ancient healing practices I learned while living in Guam and the Philippines.

The Procedure:

Centering - uses the breath, imagery, meditation and/or visualizations to open one's self to find an inner-sense of equilibrium to connect with the inner core of wholeness and stillness.

Assessing - I use my hands as sensors seeking cues such as warmth, coolness, static, blockage, pulling, or tingling.

Course of Action - treatment is accomplished through the combined use of pressure points and massage.

To pray is to speak to God.
To meditate is to listen.

Meditation is private devotion or mental exercise consisting in any of innumerable techniques of concentration, contemplation, and/or abstraction, thereby contributing to heightened spiritual awareness or somatic calm.

Most techniques taught today lead you to a state of calmness, of sitting in the door. What most people seek goes beyond a heightened spiritual awareness (sitting in the door) to walking through the door and enter our spiritual realm, which our physical reality is an active part of.

The Procedure:

Learn a personalized relaxation technique.

Discover your own inner safe place. Become comfortable with the idea of your own guardian angel, or spirit guide, physically visiting you. Grow to a level of self-confidence, self-awareness, whereby you are willing, and open, to the idea of meeting your own higherself, your soul.

Wherever you are, be it at the beginning of your journey, well on your way, or resting comfortably at some height, you must acknowledge where you are, for that is the key to further growth.
